1. Ensure you are running the custom backend server (python server.py).
2. Enable IMAP in Gmail Settings (Settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP).
3. Enable 2-Step Verification on your Google Account.
4. Generate a 16-character App Password (Security → App Passwords) and use it as your password below.

Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab
Click Add a forwarding address
Paste the address above and click Next → Proceed → OK
A confirmation code will be sent — enter it in Gmail to verify
Select "Forward a copy of incoming mail to…" and choose the address
Click Save Changes
